I've sharpened 3 people's kitchen knives for them and everyone of them has cut themselves already. The WorkSmart is great!

Aw man, very believable. If you suck at sharpening knives such as I, the Work Sharp Knife and Tool sharpener is a must have. Here is a link to the product. It can be purchased at Bass Pro, Cabelas, Northern Tool, among other places. It is simply amazing how easy and how sharp it will get your knife. http://www.worksharptools.com/sportsmans...v.tabs.tpl.html

Yep, that thing works. You can get it cheaper though. Sportsmans Guide I think.

In a matter of 30 seconds you can shave with the dullest knife you had in the house. I've had stones, ceramic rods, steels, and a $300 electric Magic Chef sharpener and the worksharp out performs them all in seconds. The only downside I see is the sharpening angle is more than other conventional sharpeners so the edge is shorter and possibly doesn't last as long. But hey, you're shaving with it while it lasts and you can touch it up in seconds.

I could use something like that but I think I would be missing a few fingers if my knives were too sharp. I some how find a way to cut myself every time I am skinning a deer.

this is what i have been using for years. just hold the blade straight up and down and the angle is perfect. very simple and dummy-proof. and gets it sharper than a razor.
