OK, it's not actually "Dino's Sausage" anymore, since Dino's sold their brand to someone else in town. However, same place, same recipes, etc.

I'll report back a little more, but with this deer, I requested mostly ground and sausage. That way, if I blank out the rest of the season, I'll have the stuff that will be fine in the freezer....and the stuff we like the most.

Order ticket:

Here's the one summer sausage I got...jalapeno cheddar. Good stuff.

And two "roasts". I've never asked for a processor to return "roasts", but this seems a little smaller than what I expected.

Either way, it tastes good....I'm off to get the stuff for venison chili.

Has Dino's location changed?

I had seen where Fineberg Packing had bought them out.

So if I read your ticket right, that would have cost either 83 or 93, depending on size, and assuming they skinned it for you, correct? What was the turnaround time?

Nope....same place at the corner of Ghetto and Hood. The dude says his family sold the brand name to Fineberg. He still uses his old recipes. The reason it's so hard to find consistent sourcing for Dino's in the grocery store anymore is that the Fineberg people can't keep up their supply. Kroger kicked them out for unreliable supply.

The "original" Dino's can't use the name or the labeling.

No, $54 out the door. I brought them a quartered deer. $11/quarter, plus $8 for the summer sausage.
