Yep.
We were supposed to have a Christmas get together at the family homeplace Saturday - but my cousin's begats all got it, one had a temp of 103 last night. So, nobody is going in that house to say the least. Gonna have the get together at the church house instead.

Woke up about 3 Monday morning shaking so bad I thought I was gonna break teeth. After getting to a small bathroom and with an electric heater and the shower turned on full blast hot I finally got the shakes to subside. Took my temp and it was 103.4 so at 8:00am, I was at Jax clinic bundled up waiting to get worked in. After sticking a long q-tip down my throat and about 3 inches up my nose they confirmed about 15 minutes later that I did indeed have the flu. For those scrambling to get the shot, I had taken it. My doc said this years shot was not proving effective against the particular strain that was going around. just for a warning to those that get it, the first couple of days you feel like you have to get better to die.

Now the supervisor is leaving, coming down with it.  Several here at my co. have family members with it apparently also. 
I'm fine during the day, but about 5:00, my neck starts to hurt and I get a fever. It breaks in 3 hours, and I wake up fine again.
I stayed home today to get some good rest. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
I was supposed to be getting a crane running today.....oh well. My health trumps your crane.

I'm not feeling just right myself, but can't determine if it's real or imaginary, with so many people having it. I think it's just worry that I may get it.

I went to the doctor this morning. Woke up with a 101 fever...an hour later checking in, 98.6 temperature. White cell count isn't elevated, and no cough or sniffles. Doc figures it's just a virus. Lots of water and rest.....take amoxocyllin in a few days if nothing gets better. Yay me.
