I have a friend that died in a car wreck a couple years ago, I took his 18 year old son hunting the other day and he killed his 3rd deer ever, a small Button buck, and was as excited as could be. when he asked me to take him hunting and I said I would he told me he did not have a gun.
I did not think anything about it at the time and loaned him one for the hunt. Then I got to wondering what happened to his dads .308 the boy had a .308 bullet with him when we went hunting his dads I'm sure. anyway after asking his older sister what happened to the guns she said her Uncle took them and got into trouble with the law and now the law has them.
I was wondering if anyone here had an old .308 bolt of any kind that they would be willing to sell cheap? I would like to get this boy a deer riffle for Christmas if at all possable.
the older and more scuffed up the better as I don't have a lot to spend on this gun.
I can come up with rings and a scope of some kind. I am not sure what his dad had other than I know it was a bolt in .308 Cal.

Would those guns not be considered stolen? Could they not get them back since the uncle wasnt the owner?

Not sure who's they would be. they were devorced, and I doubt he had a will, I'm not even sure how long the police would keep the guns.

That's mighty nice of you to offer that!!
I Think it would be better for Ruger or another Mod. to keep up with the money until we locate a gun to purchase, and any left over can be used for the next kid in need.
If someone can lock this at the top I would appreciate it!
$20 is a lot for one person to give as many people that is on here just gave a dollar or two it might just make this kid have a great christmas.
