I have heard it is more rare than albino.

I had a doe here at my little place years ago that was brown and didn't have a white hair on her at all.. I tried like hell to kill her during deer season but never did see her during season..

For those of you near Russellville and the Amish community there has been a black buck sighted in the area

Very rare there are plenty of albinos but you almost never hear of a black one. That's on my bucket list of things to see in the wild

If I'm not mistaken aren't the albino deer proteceted? Well if these black deer are more rare than an albino shouldn't they be an protected species as well?

albinos are protected because somebody with some influence thought they are pretty(and they are). it has nothing to do with rarity.
