Awesome use of storage space! Padlock it, and you're probably gonna beat most burglars and vandals (unless they're REALLY hungry)

It may not be a refrigerator. my grand father had a stand up deep freeze. looked like a fridge, but it was all a freezer. it had a lock on the outside. The kind with the circle hollow key that you push in then turn. My deep freezer has a lock like this too.
my concern would be if you had it in the garage, would it allow moisture in and weather the guns? freezers are pretty well insulated, so maybe not. I just don't have room in my house and Like others said burglar's don't usually care whats in the fridge.
if you pad locked it, it may draw attention.

I suppose you could always put a dehumidifier rod in it----just like people do in their gun safes when they put them in a garage.

Yep, run the cord through the inside bottom and out the back to plug in like a working appliance. If you use a freezer type with a lock.... your in business.

Good idea. I have a friend that gutted a large water heater and put a turnstyle in it with a hidden back door, works great for about a dozen long guns.

Should be fire proof too. Growing up my dad was a volunteer fireman and he said all the houses that burnt down the inside of the fridge was still in tact. So when my parents would get paid on Fridays they would put their cash in the butter storage area in the door. Not sure what seems more odd now getting paid in cash or putting it in the fridge. I guess my family like their "COLD" hard cash
