I used to gig the ponds on the left side of the highway going along Parksville lake in Polk co. (not far from Chattanooga). It was the best gigging I've ever experienced. However, I would not recommend going in there without snake chaps, you WILL encounter snakes! Plenty of copperheads and rattlers that I assume are eating the frogs also.
