My buddy just bought a used remington cdl 280 that's clip feed , he said the guy told him it was factory , I never saw one from factory like that . Have y'all ?

I have a Mountain rifle that has a detachable magazine. I also have an extra stock, trigger guard, and magazine that make any model 700 long action a detachable magazine. I converted my BDL over for a while, so I could load and unload easy. I have the wood stock back on it now.

Not sure about the CDL. Sounds like someone changed out the stock.

I believe this year was the first year for the CDL-DM (detachable magazine) in quite a while.

yeah I think in the late 80`s-early 90`s they made some Mountain Rifles and CDL`s with a Detachable Mag,

you can buy bottom metal and mags from Badger Ordance to convert any 700 to a mag feed..

I wish someone would put out bottom metal to use AR10 and AR15 mags in the 700,,I know Rem made the 7600 pump in 223 that uses AR mags,,if they released a 700 setup like that they would sell and fast,

I got a stainless 700 30-06 thats clip fed. It was bought new in 95. I'm pretty sure it was the first year they started makin the DM models.
