Please elaborate why you wouldnt want a guy who took ul from irrelevant to a bcs, never a d worse than 15th, has more recruiting ties in the south than any of the other candidates

Charlie is a rock star. UT will be just fine with him on the sidelines.
After the Gruden flirtation ended, Strong has been my top pick. I have a gut feeling he won't come, but really hope I am wrong. Defense and recruiting ties can go a long way in the SEC.

Charlie Strong- Derrick Dooley. Apples for Apples.
how do you figure that? this guy was FL recuiting closer under Myer according to an ESPN analyst i listen to today. yeah he hasn't been a head coach long, but i think he has the right attitude and will run a clean program, which is what we need.
By the way i knew Gruden was a pipe dream and still is unless something crazy happens. When i heard the names they were concidering Strong was my #1 pick because I knew it was actually possible and that has to be accounted for when wishing for things 
the only other coach I thought they may go after but has a bad rep was Tressel, but I figured Hart would pass on him.

It will be interesting... UL stated that that they will make Strong the #1 paid coach in the nation if they have too.... Either way Strong will be getting a raise or a new job...... 
Seems like they may be backing off that statement just a little...

JMO. Tennessee expects to much. He doesn't need it. Hope he does well at Cincy. Whoever takes the job is going to have a headache on their hands. 3 years and out is going to look good on a resume, just ask Dooley.

The UT football program is in the crapper, and sadly is going to be there for a while.
A top notch program would have top notch coaches lining up trying to get in the door, this is the same thing that we went thru when we "picked" Doolittle.
I guess if you ask enough people someone is bound to say yes.
