You know. I can get in my truck, leave my house and start at the entrance of Cades Cove in about 15 minutes. I think we went 1 time last year. A man i work with, his mother grew up in the Cove as a child.

Im jelious....was just there last week and only saw 3 bucks and a few turkeys. I gotta get a better camera also, your pics make mine look terrible.

We stayed in Townsend, have to say when we go back we will prob stay in Townsend again. Loved the difference from Gatlinburg. We went Sat and Sun morning and saw at least 9 different bucks in the two days no telling how many does. We were thinking Sunday if we got the chance to see a bear it would make the trip, lo and behold we took our time and we were about 3/4 through the loop an had a line of cars. Got to watch it about 15 min, talked to a guy said it had been there about 2 hours.
We will definately be back with a better lens. There was a photography group up there Saturday and some of their cameras were ridiculous. Mine is a Nikon D5100 and I like it more and more everytime I use it. We took over 600 pics in 2 days.

Looks like the bear is eating walnuts. Saw one under a walnut tree last year for over an hour. You can really hear those things pop. Yankees were commenting they were hearing bones crunching. Nice pics Going next week I think.
