Illegal unless it is on your property on that road.
i know i was just being facitious.

I thought you were. But, unfortunately, it is a common practice for a lot of folks. I just wanted the group to know that even though they likely see it all the time, it doesn't make it legal.

So THAT'S what was in my egg drop soup yesterday!

Actually what you should do is buy one of those light up deer that go in the yard at Christmas time and wrap the carcass back around the frame of the lighted deer. Use lots of duct tape.
Then strap it to your hood and drive around for about a week or two showing it off.
Bonus points if you put a red nose on it.

Quarter in the field and leave the carcass there. All you need is a big cooler for your quarters, backstraps, other meat, etc. In my neck of the woods there is no carcass the next day.

Some boneheads leave at the gate of our lease with only the backstrap gone. I got a feeling they are spot lighting. Wish I could catch em.

I don't really believe that your landfill guys will have a problem with a boned out skeleton, particularly if it is in a couple pieces. I generally will break off at the neck, and at the base of the ribs. The front legs are not connected by bone, so they will be separate, and I usually separate the rear legs at the hip joint. It bags up easily, or if you do have access to anyone's property, can be left for the critters in an out-of-the-way spot, with permission. It will be dispersed quickly and efficiently.

When the dump doesn't want an animal carcass, they don't want you tossing your dead dog or goat or whatever into the bin. The putrefaction levels would be crazy, and it would become a huge bacteria bomb. A meatless bag of bones on the other hand is nothing.

Got a creek bottom on our property where I dump most.

A few I drop in a catfish hole in the lake. Makes for good bream and cat fishing in Jan-Feb
