Harvest Tag Question

If one killed a deer which he intended to mount, and took the deer to the processor, and asked to have it caped, how would he handle this with only one harvest tag? The processor will need to have the tag, and if you take it to the taxidermist, he will need the tag, so what is one to do?

taxidermist just needs the tag number, killed date, county and hunter twra number. You can write that down off your tag and give to the taxidermist. All of the deer that I ever got in, when I was taking in deer, that went to processors first had put the tag number on something tied to the antlers with hunters name. so all i needed was kill info... and customer contact info
