Has anyone here had any experience with Kimber rifles? I have a Kimber 1911 and absolutely love it, but I'm now looking at a lightweight Kimber rifle. I believe the model is called a Montana? What do yall know about these rifles good or bad and what should a used rifle go for price wise? Thanks!

I have 2
Kimber 8400 Classic 270 WSM Kimber 84M Montana 308
Both shoot 1/2-3/4" groups with handloads, both feel great, both function great. The Classic looks great, the Montana is the lightest bolt gun you can get without spending big $.

From the research I have done, if you want a lightweight rifle it is a great buy. There are a lot of accuracy issues, but it seems like most of those cases were a few years ago. Most of the newer ones shoot great.

For a 7lb 300, it's very easy due to the stock design of the rifle. It doesn't rattle your teeth or cross your eyes.

Well I bit the bullet and bought it today! I got a Montana, stainless in .308 with a Bushnell Elite 4X10. I've got somewhere around the $750 range in the rig, so how'd I do? Also, anybody got any pet loads for this rifle to give me a place to start figuring out what she is gonna like? Thanks for the input!
