I tell you i dont know what has happened i hunt up in roan mountain way up high. I havent seen a buck in a couple weeks or on trail camera only thing i can figure is the rut is over up there. I was looking back at my notes i keep and this same thing happened last year at this time

Went again yesterday evening; got on stand at 4:30, had 3 slick heads come out at 200 yards and at dark look up and 4 more deer are out there, couldn't tell what they were. Seven deer in front of me and cant tell what 4 are, bah hum bug.

A guy I work with killed a buck this morning that was chasing a doe and on his way home he said he saw one of the biggest deer he had ever seen chasing a doe. I haven't been since Saturday but I think I will try it in the morning. I just hope the warmer temps don't shut it down.

Last 2 days 2 slick heads at same spot and same time, right at time to put gun down, 5:50 PM, wait till next week, boom, boom.

A doe and 2 yearlings; 5:15 pm, on 12-6-12 feeding on ridgetop in acorns like crazy.
