In a span of 2 hours I saw 2 different does getting chased,1 doe with twin fawns,and a group of 4 to 5 does walking together.
Makes no sense to me.
What are you seeing?

I haven't seen any rutting activity since the warm up last week and all the scrapes went instantly dry...

Checked a scrape yesterday and he is still cleaning up. Small buck or i would be setting there right now.

One of the points I'm trying to get across to hunters is not to expect to see all deer doing the same thing on the same days, just because it is the rut. The rut is a fairly lengthy process, taking 5 to 6 weeks to complete. Considering any individual doe is only in estrus (and acting like it) for 1 to 2 days out of that 5-6 weeks, don't expect to see all deer acting like it is the "the rut" during the entire breeding process. In addition, some bucks participate very little in the rut, for whatever reason. So not all bucks will be acting "rutty" every day of the 5 to 6 week breeding season.
