I have not looked but does twra post harvest numbers by per hunter? I wonder what the stats are of %of hunters that shoot more then one or two bucks a year and how many hunters say kill more then 10 does. When i checked my last deer in at aedc they had 10 does and i think 60 bucks klled.

10 does and 60 bucks. Hmm 1 doe for every 6 bucks killed that is not exactly good numbers right there.

Back in the 80s and all through the 90s folks were killing 6-10 bucks a year and very few does because that is the way the seasons were set. Well guess what about 15 or 20 years of that nonsense we had a very out of balance herd. Now the buck limits have decreased not near enough doe limits and hunting pressure has increased. All of this adds up to dwindling deer herd. Again I can only speak for my neck of the woods. The seasons are to long and the limits are to high. Were hunting deer with a firearm for over 2 solid months without a break. That is just ridiculous.
If your referring to the last 10 years or longer then I guarantee your buck/doe ratio wasn't anywhere near what you thought it was .. Hunter observations are a severely inaccurate guide to what kind of deer herd you actually have .

Its not the three doe a day around here that is so negative its the length of gun season. Do we want to lean towards an Alabama or South Carolina deer herd or towards being like Kentucky with plenty of time to get a deer but not excessive gun hunting.

I bet you and jar play golf together ;\) . To each his own . Tennesse deer hunting is kind of in the middle . Pretty good deer numbers with a liberal buck limit .

I wouldn't mind a 1 or 2 buck limit . But i don't care of it stays at 3 either . You could have a self imposed 1 buck limit if you would like .

I personally hate the law. And if the people around keep shooting deer in that numbers none of u will kill anything in the very near future.

Just start hunting in Unit B and you will never have to worry about the sooo bad 3 doe a day limit. Sounds like your neighbor is doing a good thing by giving the deer to hunters for the hungry, tool or not its legal and it's their buisness how they hunt.
