HELP! shot good deer no luck finding!!

I was sitting there watching a smaller buck and another deer im not sure what was, when ol big boy ran straight down the hill out of no were and actually stopped in my scope. I pulled the hammer back on my ol 30.30 he was facing me i so i put the cross hairs right in the center of his neck, pulled the trigger and he warped the ground. He then got up on his front legs went a few feet and rolled to the bottom of the hill and he went up the other side on the edge not straight up. Small amounts of blood TONS of hair which i know is not a real good sign. Found drips and drops of bloods for roughly 150-200yds. ANY IDEAS!!!

I had the same exact thing happen to me thanksgiving morning except i shot in the side of his neck blood trail was heavy then it just stopped 6 of us searched couldnt find him. When i ask this question on here they told me to give him afew hours an come back. Hope you find him

I was very close to the house so I hollerd for my lab Rocky and he actually got on his trail and stayed gone forever and i got worried about him and hollerd for him to come back when he got back to me his whole snout was coverd in blood he is a yellow lab so it was very obvious makes me wonder?

Yea gave him time I had him on a leash to begin with and he wasn't doing much first time I have ever used him like that so I said piss on it and let him go and he was gone then about 20-25 min and like I said came back coverd in blood biggest spot of blood I have found was about the size of a dime so he had to of fount him?
