Watching a show on tv where they are fox hunting in PA at night.

Of course I have never done it but what got me was they would hit the caller and then just scan the field with a big spotlight.

The fox appeared to come on in to the call, seemingly oblivious to the fact there was a quadruple million power spotlight burning on them.

Do they not see the light as danger or what?

I've called at night in a couple of other states. We always used a amber lens cover and the light didn't seem to bother them. If night hunting became legal in Tn. I would still call in the daytime. To many disadvantages while night hunting.

The trick is not a lens but scanning using the very edge of the light , not the main beam. Most use a regular white light with a shields to keep the light focused forward

I night hunted back home in Wisconsin. Big mistake using white light. Ever time.we flickering on. They went running the other way. Learned a valuable lesson, red lens only!
