That's mighty big talk from a one eyed fat man......lol. Rooster Cogburn reference...of course.
great shooting.....like others said, I can't see that far much less shoot with iron sights that far. I never could judge that well since the iron sights cover up the target...
again, great shooting...!

you sure are improving at a steady pace,,most people dont realize how accurate you can shoot at long range with a good set of sights,,
just curious ,are the BR primers hot enough to be consistant?? have you shot any long strings over a chronie, like 15-20 shots ??
I am just asking out of curiosity, not trying to tell you what primers to use,I would have thought any kind of black powder would take magnum primers??
again looking good..

the guys out west swear by the BR II primers, I have some winchester and federal that I have not tried yet.
I am just starting my 3rd year of this type shooting, trying to get a real good base load before I increase/decrease powder or a primer switch
I even put a coffee filter paper wad inside the case before charging with powder, this is to give a more controlled primer burn, at least this is what the guys out west have proven

Even with modern powder being generally pretty consistent, that kind of shooting points to plenty of talent behind that trigger. Very impressive shooting, Congratulations.

first constructive pointer from the guys out west on the target posted above, quoted from another forum, the guys out west get into detail, imo
Assuming that the 3 on the bottom are really on the right,I'd say your squeeze was faulty on them and the other 7 are in 3-4" at 300 yds. So how much better do you figure you need? A rough guess on the site adjustment puts you moving it up to 85pts give or take a few. To get down on the knats [censored] for calcs like that you need to supply elev. above sea level, velocity, bc , sight radius, site height above bore ctr line and a few other things. good luck bobw
