I shot another mature doe tonight, the jawbone is the one on bottom. I am aging her at 4.5 and looking to confirm. The jawbone on top is from the same farm a few years ago, slightly less wear but also I aged at 4.5. These and the 5.5 from Sat are the only does out of many dozens off this place whose jawbones can be classified as older than 3.5. Out of over 50 does. Now 2 in one week....lol

I would say the bottom jaw is 5 1/2.

Thanks. Wow! Almost feel like lightening strikes twice here.....over twenty years of hunting here, many many dozens of does killed by me, and these (the other one from this week not the other in the photo) are the only 2 to age 5.5, in the same week, lol.
I was going to say over twenty years of shooting does, but when I first started it was still pretty much buck only with maybe one day a year to shoot does. How times change.
