Heck I've been calling around finding good sets of used tires because the new ones have got so expensive! I've got 2 sets in the last couple years both had close to 50% tread left and the one set was 100$ mounted and I think the other set was 120$ but those were all terrain tires for the yukon.

I need some new tires for my truck and started shopping around. The last 2 sets I've had were Michelin LTX M/S2 255/70R16.
I think I bought my last set 3 or 4 years ago and I got a new free BlueRay DVD player in the deal, all four cost $605.
The CHEAPEST I've found in Paducah, Ky is $735 at Sam's Club. The other place I got my last set wants $799.
I guess 4 years of not having to worry about tires caused me not to pay attention to the prices.
I had the same problem recently. And I quit buying warehouse tires. No telling how old they are, and getting them serviced there is impossible.

Did you check the prices at TireRack dot com? Many times their prices including shipping are lower than local dealer cost. My friend is in the tire biz and often times he buys from TireRack because its cheaper than his suppliers. They arent always less expensive, but they are enough times that its worth the 2 minutes it takes to check. The other great thing about them is if I order today before 9am they show up at the door of my house outside of Memphis tommorow morning. Thats quick service!

Tirerack.com. I saved $400 on a set for my Titan. Had Walmart put them on for me.

IMO I would stay away from Michelin after working in a tire shop they are junk. Now don't get me wrong they ride good but you'd be amazed to the number of patches we'd put on in a day. Not to mention they were very hard to patch

I did try Tiretrack and they were $716, might as well go to Sam's and have them do it all tax and everything for $735.
This will be my third set of Michelins on my truck since 2001 when I bought it new and I have NEVER had a flat of any of them. I now have over 179,000 miles, I think I put my first Michelins on at 40,000 miles so I'm getting good wear.

I just bought 4 tires online through Tiresaving.com
Cheapest place on line
Your tires are 155.01 ea + @ $8 per tire to ship. @ $650.00 for the set. You take them to a shop for m&b.

Carbon black has went up alot, and the rubber trees didn't produce near the amount as the normally do.
At least thats what we've been told at work.
