I am fixing to change my cell service and leave Verizon and go with straight talk. Got a great deal on a phone via black Friday. $45 plus tax per month for unlimited everything (text, calls, data) and the way I understand it they operate on verizon towers so the service should be fine.
My question is, can you keep your same number when you activate the phone and if so, HOW?

My brother didnt get to keep his same number.
But as far as signal goes, he has no problems.
Ive thought about going with straight talk myself but just hadnt done it.

When you call to activate your number it gives the option to switch from another provider... I love my ST phone, saves a lotta money.

yes you can keep your number, Lade kept his, and the cool part is, you can pay for your service for the whole year, cost us 500 for the entire year. and I never have a problem with the service or coverage!

Yep I switched over to Straight Talk earlier this year. $45 for unlimited everything and no contract! I kept my same number. Just be sure you have your Verizon account number and password handy when you activate your new phone.

My wife switched hers over and is very pleased with it. I will be switching over as soon as my contract is up in February.

Don't close your existing account with Verizon until you buy your straight talk phone. They will swap it all over for you. So you can keep your current number. If you already closed your account with your current provider there is no guarantee you can keep your same number.

You can also get an older iphone and get it to work on ST. You can get the SIM from them for $14.99 if the one that came with your phone doesn't work for the iphone.

Both sons had it and now wish they had it back, lol. Wife uses ST, I use Cricket.
ST seems fine if you get a decent phone. Her cheapie did not get service from our old lease in Madison County. Neither did my Cricket.
We originally both had Verizon as well.
She kept her old number with ST and I did as well with Cricket.
I have a smart phone with Cricket and she has an old cheapie with ST that just died.
She will be upgrading soon.
