I'd always wanted a simple outside/inside temp gage for the farm and finally broke down and bought a similar model to this acurite at Lowes that measures both, plus humidity and predicts rain:

The temp reading is always within 1 to 2 degrees of the NWS, as is the humidity. The rain prediction is fairly accurate. You have the option of adjusting the rain prediction, as it might over/under predict rain, although it supposedly learns over a period of time. I understand that without other readings, it could never be completely accurate, but have enjoyed it so much, I'm thinking about this unit for the house:

Does anyone have any input on weather stations, particularly this one or brand?

I have indoor/ outdoor thermometer with humidity w/3 sensors. One is in the shade at all times. Also have digital rain gauge plus a large tube gauge as I am a CoCoRAHs reporter, and I have an anemometer.

I'm running the Davis Vantage VUE have had it several years and works great.
