I'm thinking of installing one at my house..for when i'm away.. any of you have one? pros,cons, best ones worst ones? thanks!

i've got ADT . Never had any issues. all areas of access sensors and motion detectors inside.

They go off at all hours when you don't want them to. I wouldn't mess with it.

I had adt for three or four years and got tired of price increases so I switched to NCA three years ago at 10 bucks a month...I own my system... The only time mine go off is when I forget its on and open a door. and they are spot on about calling... well worth it IMO if mine goes off and im in my

I put 1 in my house when we built in 2000. Best decision i ever made. I feel better when i am gone and the wife and girls are here by themselves. Thank goodness it is the wired old style. Heard the wireless has some problems. Bad side is if it ever goes off for any reason like mine did at 3 a.m., you might as well just make you a pot of coffee and wait it out because you are not going back to sleep.

That's what I have with 8 cameras and a fake DVR. If they break in they might find the fake DVR but never the real one unless they want to pull out all the wires in the house.
No mater what anybody gets, get the BEST CAMERAS you can.
Ask yourself this question. Do you want to ID everybody in the pictures and are they good enough pictures to stand up in a court of law??? How many times have we watched a cop show on TV and the picrures from some of those store cameras was so bad we couldn't ever tell if the people were men or women?? THAT'S not what you want.
