I would believe Hubbs over Hyams. Hyams and his sources are a joke.

Hubbs just brought the hammer said Gruden is likely out.
"...at this point the search for Tennessee's next head coach is centered around other names like Jimbo Fisher, Al Golden, Larry Fedora perhaps and Charlie Strong."
Ha I said this earlier guess my contact is pretty strong got it before the big radio guys lol.

Still think it's going to be South Fl's former coach. Guy with the 49ers.

I still don't understand why UT fans want Gruden. He won a Super Bowl with another coach's players, and with each following year--with more and more of the players being his draft picks--the team got worse. He was NOT a good pro coach, so why would he be a good college coach?
Who did the Bucs play in that superbowl? Who was the Raiders head coach the year before? Was that superbowl not also called "the Gruden bowl"?
Those were Tony Dungy's player Gruden was playing with and Al Davis' players he was playing against. Gruden might be a decent coach (although I question that), but he has a lousy eye for talent. he proved that at Tampa. The more the Bucs were made of his player choices, the worse the team did.

I think he would be an instant recruiting success!
That I agree with. Players would be excited about playing for him.

Here's what didn't makes sense with the plan stated in the news that ended up being false.......
The Haslam's are business men and they now own the Browns. So what team would the Haslam's want Gruden to coach? My guess would be the Browns since that would be the team making them money and that would make good business sense.....
As far as I know the Haslam's only donate money to UT and I have never heard of UT giving the Haslam's money from ticket or jersey sells..... Just my 2 cents....
