What is a good cost efficient spotting scope to be able to view shot groups at about 250 yards out?

I got one from Dick's...Simmons i think, came with case & tripod does fine for short range work 100 - 500 yards for $90. I think its a 20X60X80. For serious stuff Leupold MarkIV 12-40X60 with MilDots.
