since Gruden works for ESPN you would think he knew and was ok with the questions, right?
so why would he be uncomfortable and brush off a question he knew was coming?

i hope its Gruden. BUT, i still dont understand why Haslams spend $1,000,000,000 on Browns and then hire the "BEST NFL COACH" to coach his alma mater. anyways, it'll be interesting on how this ends up and to hear the real story.
Gruden is not the best available NFL coach, Andy Reid will be available and Bill Cowher is also still out there

Remember Saban in his final weeks at LSU??   I don't really have a dog in this fight being from Virginia. I do like the Vols and try to go to a game once a year and would like to see that enthusiasm return that used to be prevelant there. he was coach at dolphins at the time he was asked and denied the bama job. a completely different situation, imo
Thanks BG. I knew it was between one of the jobs and didn't take the time to check. But it was still deny, deny, deny.
Like I said, just want to see them "not settle" this time.

I still don't understand why UT fans want Gruden. He won a Super Bowl with another coach's players, and with each following year--with more and more of the players being his draft picks--the team got worse. He was NOT a good pro coach, so why would he be a good college coach?

Last I heard as of 10 min ago unless UT is throwing up a major smoke screen is it will not be Gruden. List is Stoops, Tubberville and Golden in that order. I wouldnt mind Stoops but Tubby and Golden geez.
