There's a carrot nobody saw coming. I think if Gruden was older, it might be enough. However, I don't see him being unable to coach in the NFL because he is a part owner of a franchise. He's not your typical bean counter type, if ya know what I mean. Who knows, it might just work.

Any ownership stake would most likely be a future consideration. Possibly even post-coaching career.
Haslams don't play around.
Wednesday is possible. End of November...more likely.

This also makes me feel better about the guys I've been talking to. So far, they've been right, and mentioned this to me late last week. I thought about it, forgot about it, and then was reminded today when some of these stories popped up.
Edit: I think Gruden's money from TB is due to end in early December. After that I don't know of any complications, but just assumed it'd be a future consideration to avoid headaches.

Wednesday is possible. End of November...more likely.
Friday is primetime for this to be announced. If it's a done deal (and some guys I respect very much say it is), and it isn't announced Friday, it may be due to one final payment to Gruden from Tampa being due in early December. If he is back in coaching, supposedly that payment doesn't come.

I was told the same thing. As much as I doubted things in the beginning, things are oddly coming together. I'm more optimistic than I was.

i hope its Gruden. BUT, i still dont understand why Haslams spend $1,000,000,000 on Browns and then hire the "BEST NFL COACH" to coach his alma mater. anyways, it'll be interesting on how this ends up and to hear the real story.
