We hunt right outside of hohenwald, around highway 100 area on lease. Not seeing the numbers or activity we usually do. Anyone else on here hunt around that vicinity, and if so how's your year going?

We have had 6 bucks shot on our lease in Hohenwald so far and none of them was with does or even smelled strong. I have watched over 20 does this past week and no bucks was bothering them at all. I don't know why but no one on our place has even seen any chasing yet.

The last week we had several mature buck seen chasing does and killed 1. The most mature buck activity we have seen all season. Several of those mature bucks were heard grunting after does before they were spotted. Also saw an heard several mature bucks had been checked in over the past week in town
