Daddy has the Dillon 550 and when he was shooting IDPA he was shooting upwards of 500 rounds a week,,you can churn out some good ammo quick with that setup,I am not sure how you would get around lubing cases and other issues of reloading bottleneck cases on a progressive,

I borrowed one when was doing combat carbine classes and wanting to get into 3-gun...thought it would be cheaper than buying 2000rds of .223/5.56 a month...it was but the case prep was a lot of work and just sucked the fun out of reloading....now i only load for bolt guns and neck size most every thing...it is my quiet time in the basement alone

That's what happened to me and the reason I gave all my reloading eq to Ruger 11 years ago. That military brass and primers is what did me in.

Case prep is not getting easier but there are products on the market that remove a lot of the drudgery. Look up the stainless steel tumbling media-cleans primer pockets, inside the case, and outside to a blinding bright finish. Sonic cleaning works so well its hard to believe. If you wanna use military cases, go to BrassmanBrass.com and soon as the obama rush is over, they'll be back up to stock with plenty of choices. I bought deprimed, crimp removed, and tumbled brass from them 1500 cases for I think 125.00
