Over the years, I have probably found half a dozen broadheads in deer I have killed.

I found a broadhead in a deer last year. Nearly a spine shot but it had completely healed and showed no signs of infection or anything. Tough animals for sure.

From the looks of it it appears that the bowhunter shot alomost stright down on the deer and got little penetration.
