Ok guys thinking of getting in the lightweight game and this is one rifle I don't have any experience with. I have heard some shaky things about accuracy. For any of you that have one, what is your impression of them?

My .308 is light as a feather, and mine shoots 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups with handloads. You would think recoil would be fierce, but the gun rises more than anything else. I love mine for climbing around these E TN hills.

I've heard the stock design is great and really reduces felt recoil

I have a Montana in 30-06 and I love mine and you don't want one... BUT you hear of any sale, especially a 708 let me know before you tell anyone else so I can buy it..tell them how bad they are.

That would absolutely be the two calibers I would choose for the Montana but finding either is nearly impossible

I have a 300 WSM and its a shooter. The stock is as good as they come for a factory rifle.
