Any one seeing rutting activity in Wilson county? I have seen one small buck chasing last week but other than that nada. Seems like my deer sightings have gone down quite a bit and I was wondering if maybe they are on lock down? Any thoughts?

I have heard mixed reports. some saying they see chasing, some saying does are grouped back up together. The issue is the deer density there is pretty high and i feel like it just depends on where you are at. in other words it may be on on one farm, but a mile down the road it may be over, and a 1?2 mile the other way it could just be starting. I'd say just get out there and see.

They were running wide open Saturday on the western edge of Lebanon. All I saw was chasing and hard chasing but it was all small bucks. Of course, that may well be all I have on that particular property.

Yea I guess so. Gets a little frustrating because I am hunting a lot of public land that's on an island at the lake and am beginning to wonder if someone else is hunting it and shooting it all up. I have passed on a lot of deer on the island so far this yr because I have seen 3 good bucks and missed one at 27 yrds w/ a bow. Starting to regret no taking a few of the does earlier this yr. Hopefully it will pay off.
