TWRA has no regulations dealing with your question.

yes it is but it's not a TWRA issue, it's a city issue, and I would recommend bowhunting only. Most cities seem to have a no discharging firearms rule. A state A.G.'s opinion is that state hunting laws supersede city ordinances, meaning you can hunt (assuming you follow hunting laws) with a firearm inside city limits. But you could still have the cops called on you and be cited, and you would have to go to court to get your way, as I understand it. So it wouldn't be worth it to me unless I owned good hunting land in city limits.

good deal, you don't live in franklin either, around here there are too many cops with nothing to do except sit around and look for people to pick on

you do have to be very selective of your shots. i only have about a 45 degree area that i can shoot from my stand. deer outside of that zone get a pass.

yep, that problem is nearly eliminated with a bow, but it sure would be nice to have the rifle sometimes, I imagine.

I hunt in the city limits exclusively. I bow hunt, muzzleload and rifle hunt. Keep in mind I hunt in an industrial park. I had a city cop come by one time when I was loading up a deer. He wanted to see what I had shot. Never hinted to me that I shouldnt be there or anything. I kill 2 to 3 every season, never had a problem. Use some common sense, dont hunt next to the city park in the middle of town and not expect to have problems. Stay in the less populated areas be respectful and cautious and you shouldnt have any problems.

Yes, one of my favorite bowhunting spots used to be the Murfreesboro Airport property right smack dab in the middle of town. The airport manager loved me being there. They eventually put up a high fence and had some people come in and kill all the deer inside.

Guess I'd best not hunt from the Wal Mart parking lot though huh? \:\)
