In the oven, smoker, or a dehydrator?

Looks good, and if I don't hide it at my house it's gone the same day. \:D

Pulled my dehydrator out of the shed yesterday only to find a huge hole melted into the bottom. I suspect one of the kids turned the oven on two years ago, when I last used it, and failed to mention it.

Did my jerky in an oven last night and it's way to brittle, but at least its edible. New dehydrator being shipped today.

We have always made ours in the oven, put temp on lowest setting possible and use a metal cup or something to prop the oven open a few inches. I've never used a dehydrator, but the oven method should take several hours and you will need to flip the meat once.
