.270 with this setup and it kicked bad? Recoil is light compared to the Sako .270 I have and the Savage's I've had too.

These rifles have a reputation for kicking. I had one in .243, and it had some kick to it. But, they more than make up for it in ACCURACY. They are shooters. Won't notice that kick when you're shooting a big buck!!

Bump for an excellent rifle/scope combo.

I never knew that...but having shot Savage for many years I never noticed I guess... Caliber for caliber my savages always kicked harder than other rifles I guess due to the button-rifling setup or something..

Any light gun is going to kick. I would rather take a shove from a light gun than carry around a fence post. Everyone I know that had these rifles absolutely loved them.
