Tried to scratch this itch a couple years ago by picking up a DPMS chambered in the .308. It didn't work and now I am wanting the R15 again, BAD.
Probably do some coyote hunting with it and the occasional zombie I suppose.
Anyone have one? Likes, dislikes?

Only negative comment I've heard is weight. Shouldn't be a factor if you're used to the .308.

I had the same itch.. almost bought one at walmart in alaska..back in the summer.. no tax where we were.. i'm not sure why.. but it felt a little short when I shouldered it.. and it didnt have a threaded barrel to attach a silencer.. other than that I can find a reason not to get one..

I had one and it shot really well,,mine was the 18 inch with the regular stock,,it wasnt an M4 style,,it would hold the 55 and 69 gr loads under 1 inch easy,,and actually shot a few 1/2 inch groups with the 55 VMax and H322..
they are really solid rifles,,

It's a Bushmaster with camo. IMO not worth the extra $ for it to say Remington. Plus it doesn't have a flash hider and it has a fixed stock.

if you bought the Bushy and had it camo dipped I bet it wouldnt be much difference in price,,I liked the camo finish and that is what made it worth the extra money to me,the Rem name didnt play into it.
it would be like sayin AAA Walnut isnt worth the extra
