How do you know the deer came in due to the buck bomb?? I am skeptical of this.... Not to discredit you, but just seems outlandish.

But I will say this..... Years ago hunting with my stepfather, he shot 3 times at a doe across the field with open sights. Missed all three times, and that was all the ammo he had with him. The third shot finally scared the deer, and she bolted...... We went across the field to see if he had hit. In the process of making our way over, we smelled the STRONG smell of her urine..... smelled just like the doe in heat you can buy. we checked, and seen no sign of a hit. So we headed back across and upon returning, we still smelled the urine, and a really good 8 point came bustin in from behind where he had shot from!! No ammo, but he smelled that dang urine, and came in HOT!!

How do you know the deer came in due to the buck bomb?? I am skeptical of this.... Not to discredit you, but just seems outlandish. I havent tried the buck bombs. I can however say I have seen deer many time react to scents and lures I put out to draw them in. I have seen bucks and does lick and chew scent wicks. It amazes me that most deer hunters cant or will not belive that scents work. My dad was a trapper in his youth and always used scents and lures to increase his catch. So it was pretty easy for him to start useing scents and lures to attract deer. He is the reason I rely on them heavily today.

I don't use scents but I know a lot of people that do and swear by em. Why wouldn they work? I know when I was single somebody could have killed me by using the scent of a hot woman.

I've never been big in attractant scents but I will say this. I use a scent wick sometimes to hang near my ground blind as kind of a cover scent. On the muzzle loader opener this year I killed a decent little 8 point that can directly to that scent wick. He came in from the direction of the wind and got within 10 yards of my blind, then proceeded to make a complete circle around my blind with his nose stuck out looking directly at me the whole time. He was so close I didn't even have to put the sights on him. I just pointed and pulled the trigger. No question he smelled the scent and was coming all the way to it. I don't think this is something that you could expect with and kind of scent on a regular basis though.
