Nice to have something besides deer in the freezer. I travel to Carolina beach nc a few times in the summer and go fishing with my uncle I bring several flounder back each time.

Where did you get them off the boat? I have been looking for a place when we head to Gulf Shores.

Just ride down the causeway about 9-10 in the morning, You might have to check a couple of ramps, but you should be able to find someone.
(just so you know it isn't exactly legal for them to sell them to you off the boat...without a commercial license but the buyer is OK as far as I know)
Edit: On second thought I am really unsure on all parts of the transaction...but it is done all the time. I know it used to be perfectly legal, but times changed since I lived on the coast 14 years ago.

Some nice shrimp! I heard there was plenty this year and the prices were good. Was just down in Louisiana this past week and ate my share. Freeze them in water and they will taste fresh when you thaw them out later.
Most of the shrimpers have commercial licenses because they have to sell at the dock to the buyer.
