Hard to believe there are two different deer around here with those similar of characteristics.

The top trail cam and bottom trail cam photo look different. The bottom pic, the deer has a darker patch on his nose. The top pic, the deer doesn't have a darker patch. It could just be the camera lighting. The deer killed definitely looks different than the top trailcam photo

after thinking about it, I may have to say again that they are different deer. Very similar which is unusual but not impossible. Maybe even came from the same doe, who knows. I don't see how a tine could grow in another direction over the course of a couple months.

I think they are different but they are definitely related, as in like brothers but the dead one seems bigger, it least on the left side

From the limited picture and picture angles, I suspect they are the same buck. But I would need better pictures, from the side, of the hunter-killed buck to be sure.

You can see a clearer pic in the trophy room of the dead buck. If Hollar Hunters trail cam pics are from this year the brow tines on both deer are completely different.

I'm only seeing the same picture in the trophy room as what is in this thread. Am I missing something?

I do agree, as I can see the browtines in the harvested picture, they look very different, but honestly, i can't see the deer's rack well in the harvested picture.

The trail pics are from this year at the end of July was the last time he was seen. I can't really tell though if that's really his brow in the kill pic or part of his shirt design. Someone has good kill pics but I guess he doesn't want them being posted which don't make sense if he posted that one.

Where was this deer checked in at? Pictures of that kill photo in the trophy room are floating around cell phones in western Tennessee as well.
