You're right, the key is the interpretation of the individual Officer. I want to say it was either this board or another that discusses hunting here in Tennessee where a member posted a rant a few years ago about getting a citation for wearing a back pack that covered the rear panel of his vest due to the key wording in the regulation being "visible front and back." I've heard from other hunters on WMA's and NFS land who hike in with backpacks or climbing tree stands who have received verbal warnings for the same reason. I know it made enough of an impression that I purchased a blaze orange fleece back pack, and an extra vest to drape over my tree stand.
I always put a vest on my backpack before. Now I have a blaze orange packpack cover. I want to be seen and not shot by some idiot that shoots at movement. If one mistakes me for a deer with that on, stik needs to sue them for
more than I am worth.
