Yep it has a lifetime warranty for a reason, and if you have it welded yourself you void the warranty. If you void the warranty and something goes real bad that extremely high price insurance that summit pays will do you no good whatsoever. If you give it to someone you have a lawsuit on your hands. Have summit fix it or buy a new one, if you look hard you may be able to find a store that has a few in stock

I'm just glad you were lucky enough to climb down . To have the stand break while you were climbing or while you were in the air could have been REAL bad luck.

Call Summit TODAY. Excellent customer service.
I have a stand you can borrow. Not a summit, not very comfortable but its safe and its a stand. Has an open front too.

Congrats on hunt, and if summit wont repair get a local shop to do it. If you had it 12 years im sure its paid for numerous times over.
