I don't know what he does or doesn't know, but he is paid to sell papers and web ads. Generally he does this through taking a negative or not so popular view of things.

i like this, "it's crucial that Hart explain how high he set his sights and to what lengths he went to meet them"....what?
I can hear Hart now, "cough cough. Before I introduce our new coach, I want everyone to understand we didn't want to hire this guy. we wanted Jon Gruden or Jim Harbaugh. But hey we tried, ok"

All I can say about Gruden or Stoops( Gruden especially) is if they are not in some sort of talks with them and it has NO possibility then Hart is a DUMB A$$ for not coming out and saying they are not on the list because they have no interest or because we can't afford 6.5 million a year. By letting it go if they are not involved it is going to make it a nightmare for whoever is hired, I don't care who it may be....

Harbaugh has never been a possibility.
As of today, it's still Jon Gruden #1, Gary Patterson #2.
Rumors abound, and the only one who knows for sure where negotiations stand is Hart.
And btw, anyone who believes anything that John Adams says about UT could ever be taken as positive, well, they're loco.
The man is the worst "local beat" writer there is.
He never has anything positive to say about UT.
He just does it to sell papers, I guess.

You're right Sgt, I moved here from Georgia and love the Dawgs. John Adams is absolutely terrible. He shouldn't be allowed to write anything regarding the Vols.
