my son wants to take some deer burger and make jerky.does anyone know how long u leave it in the oven.

i was told 12 hours on the lowest setting with the door cracked

Good lord! Not 12 hours, I usualy leave mine in at 200 with the door open for abouot three hours.

6 hours in a dehydrator at 155 degrees ......the last time I made it in the oven I had it set to 250 with door cracked for 3 hours. (ovens are not all the same tho)....just check it after 2 hours and then about every 30 to 45 minutes.
