What Would You Guys Do

To make a long story short. After 3 years of searching i finally found me and my buddy a farm to hunt. Owner asks only if any farm problems let him know and he wants us to kill all we can. (Eating his pasture fields up) My daughter got a 5 point during juvy and i got a 6 point this week. My buddy all of a sudden has become a trophy hunter. What is the cut off for you guys. Dang i would love to kill a monster and they are there but the owner wants them thinned out. I hate to say something but my buddy is getting on my nerves with the comments about the small deer killing.

Why don't yal kill a few does off and let the bucks walk unless it's for young kids. That'd keep the farmer happy probably and you and your buddy friendship good. Deer hunting is not worth loosing friends over.

Why don't yal kill a few does off and let the bucks walk unless it's for young kids. That'd keep the farmer happy probably and you and your buddy friendship good. Deer hunting is not worth loosing friends over.

As long as it's legal, it's all good. Don't let him get you down.
Since the farmer wants you to kill everything, maybe there is another way to make everybody happy.
Forget the bucks for now. Bust all the doe for the meat. The owner will be happy you are thinning the herd. If you limit out on bucks, then see a monster, you will be screwed.

Tell your buddy to stfu. Nothing riles me like a jerk belittling someones deer. He can trophy hunt and you and your daughter shoot whatever makes you happy. You said you got permission for you and your buddy to hunt. He can be happy when you are or find another place. Simple solution. Following the landowner's wishes will keep you on the land. He can always find someone else that will shoot the deer.

Been friends for over 30 years. Never would have imagined. Constantly telling me what to do, where to go. Tells me if i change location i am blowing the deer out. That's another thing, he has learned a whole new vocabulary. Heck, i am at least 500 yards from him. I have just been hunting with my daughter for 3 years and the first 2 was fun and had a little success but this year she always asks if he is going. I hate to give this place up but thinking about going back to public land.

I wouldn't go to public land for sure instead of making a rash decision sit down with him and talk it out. Maybe even split the farm up or something there is always a way. If he doesn't want to be reasonable then you may take it up with the land owner or something.
