I got lucky this morning and harvested my 3rd buck of the year from public land (Unicoi) so im happy to be done early and get started on the ducks. This one was special because of the long rough trip in and out. Due to the steep terrain, I had to do my own butchering to pack him out, it was my first quartering job, so it was a learning experience. I ended up seeing three does, a bear, and this buck the past two mornings hunting it, so it was fun to say the least.

and half way through the quartering process (GRAPHIC)

Nice buck, where abouts did they come from? We have some nice bucks but there hard to come by. I been lucky enough to take some pretty mature bucks off the buffalo over the years. Congrats on the 3-kills...

Ditto. Hard to come by. My last 3 have been good ones, but could easily go into a 3 or 4 year drought. Congrats on a fine deer.
