Seems to me IF you indeed did the leg work and secured the property, then the landowner and YOU should set the rules, and your friend is a "guest". It's not his property.
Similiar incidence of a good friend demanding a key to the property I acquired and take him on occationally. He has a short fuse and would for sure do something to get us/me kicked off this property. He finally got the message he would not be getting a key.

Man some of you guys amaze me,I Have a brother in law I use to hunt with that will kill anything ...but yet every year Big deer show up.I have never figured that one out... I would imagine they migrate over from other land. But to answer your question ..I would sit down ALL 3 of you and have a long talk,I am sure the friend will get the idea that the only reason you are hunting this is to thin the deer.

Respect the farmers wishes,,,thats why you are there. Your buddy"s opportunities will still be there. Its easy to blame his failure on your harvest..

It's buck only here. Unit B- Blount County.
I don't think Blount Countians can use this excuse anymore. TWRA has wisely opened up some Doe rifle hunts, not too mention you have muzzleloader, and archery. However, that being said it sounds like you and your buddy have two different objectives in mind - and there is nothing wrong with that. I tend to agree with a couple others that you need to start putting a heavier assault on the Does and let the immature bucks walk. You definitely need to have a heart to heart with him, and if you can't agree you can still be friends but not hunting partners. I have friends that I won't hunt with for this reason. I also have friends that I allow to hunt with me on my place or leased property as long as they agree to my management rules. Talk to him.

it is hard to hammer the does when you are not allowed to. 1 during muzzleloader and 2 during rifle for only PART of blount county for 2 weeks of a 6+ week rifle season is not going to do much. 4 during archery but that's not easy. and if he's not in the part of the county that is open, it IS buck only for the entire gun season.
