Well.... I returned to the property this Morning, went all the way through the tracking process again. Checked the entire creek, and thickets surrounding it. Still no deer to be found. Huntinntn.... I apologize for misunderstanding and being rude. Thanks to all for help.

That sucks. Did you check across the road?
He won't go far if he's not pushed.
MIght be a good idea to go back after dark where you won't be suspected of poaching.

Nah, I didn't cross the road. I thought it probably wasn't the best idea. I know the deer more than likely bedded over there, and died. Makes me angry. I bet that fella will or did get him.

Yea that sucks for sure.
My neighbors know that trespassing on my property is a serious break of trust.
But they also know that I expect them to retrieve lost deer if they come over here.
I'll be more pissed to find a dear deer than I would be to find a neighbor looking for it.
Some people are just jerks. You neighbor sounds like one of those folks.
Sorry man. I know how bad losing a deer can suck.

KKnights, I know how you feel. I shot the best buck of my life 3 weeks ago during MZ season. 140 yard shot(I had practiced all summer and this was not out of my range). Rolled him. he was on the ground upside down kicking like crazy. About a minute after he got quiet I see him going down the hill on two legs dragging his rear. I thought I had spine shot him so I got down to go despatch him because I felt horrible I had crippled him. Lots of bright red blood (no pink, no bubbles, no green stuff either)for 50 yards downhill. It looked like someone had drug a rake for 50 yards downhill. To make a long story short two guys came over and helped me look. We trailed the deer for another 100 yards and looked until 11:30PM. We ran circles all night. Coyotes all around us screaming. I took the next day off and looked more. I have no idea what happened to that buck. I took my MZ out yesterday and was 1" over at 100 yds and dead center. Barnes TSX-EZ.
I'm still sick about it as I know you are. First time I have lost any kind of game other than an occational dove in honeysuckle. I used to read the other reports on here thinking that will never happen to me(never had a deer go more than 10 yards)....but it did, and it will happen to everyone if they hunt long enough. Nothing in life is 100%, especially hurling lead over distances and the shear will of an animal to escape after it's been wounded.
Hang in there.

My goodness, that's a wild story right there. Whitetails are just amazing, and mysterious. I thank you for the kind words, and sharing your story. I've never seen a buck like that in real life, when he ran up by my stand, I could not believe it as We sat there staring at each other! Never ever thought I'd see a buck like that in Knox county. Now, I feel like an opportunity like that may never occur again......

Shot a big buck this morn. Gut shot..... I waited 1 hour, started tracking, realized it was gir shot, so sat down for another half hour, right there. Started slowly tracking again. He went down the hill to creek. Crossed creek, and had bedded down. At this point I had lost blood. Jumped him across creek..... Ran up to road. Don't know if he crossed or what. At that point I left property. Sitting down the road at store. Don't know what to do. Where he had bedded there wasn't a whole lot of blood. Have I lost him???
Similar situation to me on Saturday. I'm just sick. Likely a high shoulder shot, attributed to Hornady ammo shot in a rifle scoped for CoreLok.
