The skull on the left my daughter got during juvy. (Threw up 3 times) Pretty much forgot about him. Skull on the right i got Tuesday. To you guys, do you think they are ready for the pot. If i ever do this again, i will do it sooner or it will be in a freezer. I hope they are ready because i can't take much more. LOL

I've got one about ready to go as well, but I didn't separate the bottom jaw from the skull, and I don't know whether to try and get the brain out before or after the boil.
what's the advice?

I would trim the rest of the hide off from around the antlers, also you can scramble the brain with a wire coat hanger through the hole at the base of the neck then shake it and most of it will run out.I know it sounds gross but keep telling yourself its not a deer anymore, its just meat and bone now

You need to at least take the skin off between the horns. I usually get the eyes out prior to boiling, but you may not have to.

I hate getting the eyes out worse than scrambling the brains with a wire. They're a pain and they squish out. I'd look into burying that left one maybe some bugs will eat it or something, gross.
