I committed to learning to shoot left handed at the range and hunting for a whole season after missing missing a great buck b/c I had to shoot left handed. After that year I am more confident as well as accurate shooting left handed.

I smiled when i read this because i was faced with the same issue years ago. More than half the deer were coming from my right, which typically means a left handed rifle shot. I had to get comfortable shooting off my left shoulder. It didnt take long to learn because the fundamentals are the same. As i got older i started taking tactical rifle courses, and then law enforcement tactical shooting courses where we tactically entered buildings. In those courses you simply must be able to shoot equally well off both shoulders and with both eyes able to use the sights, regardless of which eye is dominant.
Just practice holding, shouldering and sighting with your less strong side over and over. You dont need to shoot until it doesnt feel so strange anymore. If you spend just three minutes a day working that drill you should be ready pretty quickly.

Keep at it and you will be rewarded with a nice buck. Apparently I need to learn to shoot right handed first. I had one come in and tracked him with the scope until he got out of the really thick stuff. I don't know if I was just shaking too hard or simply have no business in the woods but I missed him. 70 yards and I miss. Sheesh. It's been a rough day of trying to figure out how I could blow that shot.

Misses always hurt, but they will happen. I've missed far easier shots than 70 yards.
Did you walk your shot path after the deer was gone? You may not have missed; a limb or sapling may have intercepted your bullet. Of course I have no idea of the scene, but if you were waiting for the deer to get into an opening for a shot you may not have noticed an obstruction between you and your target. That's a common occurrence because you are concentrating on the deer and just simply don't see anything between you and the vital area of the deer. If you go back to that spot take a look around and see if you can see some bullet damage on a limb or sapling.
Were you using your new blind? If so, were you comfy?
